Sasuke Uchiha is arguably one of the most loved characters in anime history. He is often overshadowed by Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, Shikamaru, and others. But it’s also a fact that without Sasuke, Naruto could’ve never become one of the most cherished series in anime history (Una de las series más queridas en la historia del anime).
You might’ve read a lot of write-ups that glorify Naruto and other characters, but this one is dedicated to Sasuke Uchiha of the Hidden Leaf Village.
As a die-hard fan of the Naruto franchise, I’ll explain Sasuke’s evolution from a bad guy who wanted to destroy the Leaf Village to someone who saved the entire world. But before I get to it, why don’t I explain where you can watch the whole Naruto series, along with its sequel, Boruto?
So, let’s start with that.
Where to Watch the Naruto Franchise?
Naruto and Boruto are available to stream on multiple platforms like Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Hulu. But, since I’m an Optimum Internet user, I prefer Hulu. Let me tell you why.
I once dialed the número de teléfono de Optimum to upgrade my internet plan and discovered that it could be bundled with Hulu. And since bundling them was economical than paying for both services separately, I subscribed to it. Since then, I’ve been able to stream Naruto and Boruto smoothly on Hulu!
Now, let’s get to the intriguing story of Sasuke Uchiha.
Exploring Sasuke Uchiha’s Life Story
The Horrid Childhood
Sasuke was born into the Uchiha clan, the notorious group that had a history of plotting against the Hidden Leaf Village. Though most villagers hated them, the Uchiha were arguably the strongest ninjas of the Hidden Leaf Village (Los ninjas más fuertes de la Aldea Oculta de la Hoja).
The Leaf Village elders had sniffed a plot by Uchiha, and that’s when they decided to get rid of them for once and for all. To achieve this objective, they hired the strongest ninja, Itachi, who, ironically, was an Uchiha and Sasuke’s elder brother.
Itachi accomplished his goal, but out of brotherly love, couldn’t execute Sasuke, and fled the village. And that is how Sasuke, who was once a loving kid, became hateful towards Itachi and sought power to avenge his clan.
Orochimaru’s Plot Against The Leaf Village
Besides Master Jiraya and Tsunade, Orochimaru was the third legendary Sannin. However, he was caught red-handed while experimenting with forbidden Jutsus, and consequently, expelled from the Leaf village.
Seeking revenge on the Leaf village, Orochimaru lured Sasuke into his trap. He thoroughly understood the importance of the last surviving Uchiha with the destructive Sharingan abilities. And since Sasuke was only a child, Orochimaru knew he could channelize Sasuke’s rage for his own purpose (La ira de Sasuke por su propio propósito).
Sasuke, on the other hand, desired quick power to fulfill his own objectives. And, with Orochimaru offering him exactly what he looked for. So, Sasuke took no time in abandoning the village and joining forces with him.
Undoubtedly, Orochimaru unlocked Sasuke’s potential and made him one of the strongest ninjas in the series. But at the same time, he instilled unreal hatred in Sasuke, which motivated him to annihilate the Hidden Leaf village.
The Revelation of the Truth
Sasuke hated his elder brother, Itachi, to the core. His sole purpose was to destroy Itachi and his associates, the elders of Leaf Village, whom he held responsible for killing his clan.
Using one of Orochimaru’s forbidden Jutsu, Sasuke brought back all the former Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village to life to know the truth. And, to his surprise, Itachi, whom he thought was a cold-blooded murderer, was actually a hero of the Leaf Village (En realidad era un héroe de la Villa de la Hoja).
Itachi did all the dirty work himself, took the blame, and left his village. He, alone, protected the entire village from the Uchiha threat. And most importantly, protected Sasuke at every step from the shadows.
The revelation of truth was overwhelming for Sasuke. Though Itachi had already died by that time, Sasuke gravely regretted hating him all his life.
The Homecoming
Just like Naruto, Sasuke also decided to become the Hokage after hearing the truth. He wanted to remove all the hatred from the ninja world now, and for that, he sought authority.
But to do so, he first had to help his peers in the Fourth Great Ninja War. It was an existential threat, and Naruto, Kakashi, Obito, and the rest of the ninja world desperately needed Sasuke’s powers.
Though he was a bit hesitant and wanted to fight alone, he couldn’t seal Kaguya, the originator of Chakra, without Naruto’s help.
Leading from the front, Sasuke and Naruto defeated Kaguya and saved the ninja world. However, as he always saw Naruto as his fiercest rival, Sasuke decided to settle the debate by challenging him to a fight (retándolo a una pelea).
It was the final clash between the two greatest ninjas of their time, and though both got badly injured after the fight, Sasuke understood that there was no point in staying away from the village now. And, while Kakashi became the next Hokage, Sasuke decided to protect the Leaf Village just like Itachi.
So, this pretty much summarizes Sasuke’s arc in Naruto. I’d say Sasuke’s story is one of the best in Shonen anime. It’s an inspiring journey of a child who loathed everyone, but with time, became stronger to protect his loved ones.
To wind up, Sasuke also featured in Boruto. Though Boruto mostly revolves around Naruto’s younger generation, you can still watch Sasuke humiliating his opponents.
